In the febrile three weeks before the end of the tax year, when many investors will be looking for ways to use up some S/EIS allowance, the hunt for a deal, any deal, may overtake the close interest one may take in returns. Anecdotally, valuations are significantly higher in London compared to the rest of the UK, though the SE in general has a halo effect. There is more capital in London too, which may be one of the causes. What is rarely mentioned in the same context is that the cost of starting a company in London is higher - rents and wages, for example.
