Oxford-UK-based Modern Baker has raised £2.5 million in Series A funding, led by London impact investor Adjuvo, to scale its concept of healthy ultra-processed food (UPF) internationally.   Previous investment includes 3 EIS seed rounds with angels from tech, travel and digital industries.

BBB Regional Angels Programme invests in JECO

The British Business Bank has made its first investment through the Regional Angels Programme new co-investment platform.  JECO, an automated toolset provider, designed specifically for video games software developers and digital creatives looking to streamline their development processes and future-proof their products has secured $1.3m / £960,000 in growth funding. The deal was led by Games Angels, with British Business Bank participating in the round.

PetProov gets backing from Fhunded Angel investor

PetProov, a Chorley-based startup which uses anti-fraud technology to combat illegal and unethical practices within the pet sector, has recently closed a six-figure angel investment round.  The final five-figure investment came from a sole angel investor, James Butcher, a serial entrepreneur and business consultant based in the north west. James is also one of Lancashire's Fhunded Angels, a community of private investors looking specifically for early-stage and high growth investment opportunities in the county.
