AI-native AML compliance platform Flagright has closed a £3.3m seed round to further develop Flagright solutions and fund international expansion. The raise was led by Frontline Ventures, with contributions from a series of notable angel investors.

AI-powered financial crime can take many shapes. In one particular case, an employee at a Hong Kong-based institution was tricked into sending a fraudster some £20m, after a video call with what seemed to be their colleagues and CFO. Some experts estimate that today, around half of all bank scams involve AI in one shape or another. One report suggests that in 2023, deepfake instances in fintech increased by 700%.

MarTech startup POCKLA has raised £1.6 million to scale its proprietary AI-powered content strategy and creation platform in a seed funding round led by Venrex. CapRelease, the UK's first logistics-embedded finance platform, has secured £1.7 million in pre-seed funding to redefine how eCommerce retailers access capital. The round was led by a global FinTech-focused family office with significant holdings in leading UK neobanks, alongside a group of experienced angel investors.

Noxus, a startup helping enterprises build their own AI workforces to unlock business-changing productivity, innovation and growth, has raised $1.5m in pre-Seed funding. Led by SFC Capital, with participation from Antler, Bynd VC, Caixa Capital, AltaIR Capital, I2BF Global Ventures, Yellow Rocks, and Smart Partnership Capital plus prominent business angels from the European ecosystem. The funding will help further develop and scale Noxus' platform and expand operations.

Notify Technology, a UK-based Safety Tech company whose clients include McDonalds, Siemens and the NHS has raised a further £1.5m from Calculus Capital, the North East Venture Fund, supported by the European Regional Development Fund and managed by Mercia Ventures, and private investors.

Augmetec, the legal tech startup founded and led by Kritin Sundaram, today announces that it has raised over £2m in seed funding to turbo charge its growth. The round is led by UK-based early-stage investors Fuel Ventures, with participation from Swiss fund 14Peaks Capital, and three industry angel investors, including a retired Senior Partner at Kirkland & Ellis, the family office of NetDocuments‘ original founding team, and the Head of Fraud at Rajah & Tann Singapore.
