CrowdProperty funds £925k in under 10 minutes

CrowdProperty, the property specialist peer-to-peer lender today funded a £925,000 residential property development project in 9 minutes and 51 seconds with 113 lenders. The project, in Plymouth, is the development of 11 houses on the site of a former hotel.

iBAN digital wallet will create decentralised banking system

iBAN, a UK-based company which raised funds on Seedrs in 2017, plans to launch iBAN Wallet - a digital alternative to traditional banking. iBAN Wallet aims to bring all the key banking services into one digital platform that can be securely accessed via a smartphone. Users will be able to access a wide range of financial services via the app, which will be available on Google Play and the iTune Store.

Seedrs Secondary Market 1 year on

Seedrs announces record levels of trading in its first year operating a secondary market and what’s next for the product. In the twelve months since launch, the platform has seen impressive demand for shares in its portfolio companies. In the process, Seedrs has achieved 2,990 investor exits in what was previously an illiquid asset class.

Until Seedrs launched its secondary market, the long-term nature of early stage private equity meant that shares tend to be illiquid and investors would have to wait for an exit event such as an IPO or a sale of the business before seeing any returns on their investment.

Farmdrop close £10m funding round

Farmdrop has closed a £10 million Series B investment, at roughly five times the share price of the 2014 Crowdcube round, in which the company raised just under £750k from 352 investors.  FarmDrop is an award-winning ethical online marketplace working with local producers to fix the food chain. By cutting out middlemen, producers receive a  much more generous price than supermarkets would offer, and customers receive farm-fresh produce to their door.

Bidstack, the in-game advertising software company which raised £137,000 via Crowdcube in December 2015, is seeking to list its shares on AIM via a Reverse Takeover (RTO) of Kin Group Plc.
