As of today, ACA employs nearly 700 people and provides products and services to over 4,000 clients worldwide. The financial terms of the transaction will not be disclosed.

Confidence in Guernsey fund business reflected in five-year high

The total value of funds business in Guernsey is at a five-year high following a predicted rise in net asset value in Q2 2018, according to the latest figures from the Guernsey Financial Services Commission.

The figures for the end of June 2018 showed the net asset value stood at £276.2 billion, the highest since the end of June 2013, and a growth of more than £13 billion (4.94%) on Q1 2018 and a 12-month growth of more than £5 billion (1.9%).

Half of British savers are suffering from ‘investophobia’

A study released  by Scottish Friendly reveals that many British savers are suffering from a chronic case of ‘investophobia.’ The survey of 2,000 UK savers by one of the country’s largest financial mutuals reveals that many people remain reluctant to invest their money. This is despite a combination of inflation and rock bottom rates on cash accounts reducing the value of their savings in real terms.

Mobeus-backed Advantedge Commercial Finance buys Henry Howard

Advantedge Commercial Finance, a provider of invoice finance to UK based SMEs, has acquired Newport-based Henry Howard Cashflow Finance.

Since November 2016, when Mobeus provided £8.7 million to back its management buyout, Advantedge has increased its regional presence from two offices to five: in the Thames Valley, the Midlands, Glasgow, Manchester and now Newport.
