BGF invests £3.25 million in InsurTech leader KYND

KYND, a leading provider of pioneering cyber risk management solutions for the insurance industry, has announced a £3.25 million investment from BGF. 

KYND will use the investment to accelerate its rapid growth and global expansion plans, as well as continuing to develop transformative cyber risk technology to launch new products.

 

The company has achieved a 1000% growth on annual recurring revenue since June 2020 and developed partnerships with high-profile insurers and brokers, such as Beazley, Howden, Paragon and Alliant.

Sanctus secures £4.25 million

Sanctus, one of the first organisations in the UK to offer proactive mental health support through 1-2-1 coaching for employees in the workplace, has closed a £4.25m investment round led by Scale Up Capital, and advised by the team at PWC Ventures. Launched in 2016 by James Routledge, Sanctus was born out of a desire to normalise the conversation around mental health at work and make proactive support more readily available to UK employees.

ProVerum raises €30M in Series A funding

ProVerum Limited, an Irish medical device company developing a minimally invasive solution to treat benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH) in the doctor's office, has closed a €30 million Series A equity financing co-led by Gilde Healthcare Partners and Lightstone Ventures, including participation from existing investors.

Myzone, the global manufacturer of wearable fitness tracking technology, has secured a 17.2 million dollar investment from BGF, the UK’s most active growth capital investor, alongside renowned tech entrepreneur Vin Murria OBE, who also joins as Non-Executive Chair.

ConTech start-up CONXAI raises €2.7m for No Code AI Platform

CONXAI, the first No Code AI Platform for the AEC industry, has raised €2.7m ($3m) in a pre-seed funding round co-led by Earlybird and Pi Labs, Europe’s most active proptech VC.  Other investors in the round include A/O PropTech and Argonautic Ventures.  The funding enables CONXAI to onboard new talents, scale adoption and broaden the platform’s capabilities.

Sports scientists raise £800k for wellbeing app

Two sport and exercise scientists who established ART Health Solutions, an app to improve employee wellbeing and performance have raised £800,000 from the North East Venture Fund (NEVF), supported by the European Regional Development Fund and managed by Mercia, to fund the next stage of growth.

Brainomix closes £16m funding to expand AI-enabled platform

Brainomix, the AI-powered medtech solutions company, has closed a series B financing round, raising £16M ($21.2M) to fund its expansion into new markets and new therapeutic indications, including lung fibrosis and cancer. Parent tech startup Onoco raises £150,000

Onoco, the parenting app designed to help organise families through planning, documenting infant care and tracking their development, has raised £150,000 from Jenson Funding Partners as part of an ongoing pre-seed round. The funding comes as demand for parent tech has spiked, with US companies in the sector raising $1.4bn in 2021 alone – over the total investment amount accumulated in the four years prior.
