Something and Nothing, a London-based premium drinks company, has raised a total of £2.5M in an investment round that included ACF Investors and Rianta capital. 

The brand produces a range of premium sodas and a low-alcohol wine-based spritz. The company uses high-quality natural ingredients in all its products and is marketed as an alternative to high-sugar soft drinks or zero-sugar substitutes.

Pembroke VCT leads £1.5m funding for womenswear brand Ro&Zo

Pembroke VCT has invested £1.5 million, alongside a number of angel investors, into accessible womenswear brand Ro&Zo to drive its direct to consumer offering and expand the business. The deal was managed by strategic advisory firm finnCap.

Ro&Zo is a female-founded brand made by women, for women. Established by co-founders Rosie Bowden and Zoe de Abreu in the aftermath of the pandemic to fill a gap in the market left by the closures of a series of major high street brands, with CEO Rachel Heather heading up the business. Already stocked by major retailers including Next and John Lewis, Ro&Zo create responsible, trend-led pieces for women in sizes 6 - 20, leveraging decades of manufacturing experience with a strong focus on quality.

British Business Investments commits £15m to Science Creates Ventures

British Business Investments, a wholly-owned commercial subsidiary of the British Business Bank, has announced a commitment of up to £15m to Science Creates Ventures (SCV) through the Regional Angels Programme. The majority of this commitment will be allocated to invest alongside SCV Fund 2, while a smaller portion of the commitment will be used for co-investments through the existing SCV EIS Fund (SCV Fund 1).
