Join us for this fascinating webinar with JP Jenkins to explore the emergence of the unquoted / unlisted market for private companies.

Opening the evening will be David Smith, Ecomonics Editor of The Sunday Times who will share his views on whether we will have a Black October in the Stock Market.

After his talk, Veronika Oswald and Mason Doick will discuss how secondaries are now a real and growing exit option for angels and other investors in private companies.

Here is a bit more about the event

Everyone is telling you how to invest your money within alternative investments, but no one may inform you of how to exit said investments. Most companies have an exit strategy of 3 years …. This is not always the case.

Veronika and Mason will discuss how and where investors can find the most suitable exit and the liquidity solutions JP Jenkins provides. A place where both investor and company can benefit.

There are new trading mechanisms which are allowing SMEs to open up shareholder liquidity, raise larger sums of capital and provide opportunities for investors pre – IPO. Scaling businesses can now refresh their cap table, take control of who is coming on to the register and not worry about loss of control or dilution.

The history of the UK’s smaller company stock markets shows an ongoing, though cyclical, demand for growth funding and share trading mechanisms – The AIM market has an important part to play but there are growing strains within the system, notably in terms of regulatory pressures on nominated advisers, wide spreads on price and a regulatory concerns towards retail investors. Technological innovations linked to more localised economic activity (for example algorithmic micro-exchanges for locally crowd funded start-ups) also offer promising solutions. The London Stock Exchange has been historically supportive of noncompeting funding mechanisms, which it views as feeders for its own business.

JP Jenkins is the UK’s oldest and most trusted private share trading platform with unrivalled experience in the unquoted / unlisted market.
